About — Global Election Simulator

Global Election Simulator is a free, independent, browser-based project that turns real elections into something you can pick up and explore. It began with one country and grew, one careful build at a time, into the first election simulator to cover every inhabited continent.

Why it exists. Most people never get to see how an election actually works from the inside. We wanted a place where anyone curious, with no politics degree and no newsroom behind them, could change a number and watch a government form.

What the numbers mean. A simulator reproduces a certified result exactly, and that is the part you can lean on. When it steps into a hypothetical or a future scenario, it is a model, clearly labelled as a scenario and never dressed up as a forecast. Official results always come first.

How it is made. Before any simulator ships, it has to reproduce the official result exactly from the official votes under our own code. The full methodology is public. The project is kept free by lightweight advertising, which is why it stays open to everyone with no account and no paywall.
